Our provisionally-patented inflation system is not something we are yet disclosing fully, as we continue perfecting it for a PCT patent.

However, we can say that the gas it produces is safe and non-explosive, the reactants are safe to the touch, the products can be safely poured down the drain, it’s very shelf-stable unlike many chemical systems, and it works at even below 0 temperatures.

Thick, metal cartridges pose a risk by being unreliable, rusting, and exploding at temperatures which are reached by cars left out in the sun, becoming projectiles and even causing death. The gas they produce is as cold as -80C because of ‘Joule-Thomson’ cooling, capable of frostbiting.

Our system doesn’t use metal (so nothing to rust), is non-pressurised (so won’t explode), is shelf-stable (unlike other chemical solution attempts), and produces warm gas.

Additionally, metal cartridges can’t be reshaped, so the possible product shapes are: a) a thick pouches, and b) there is no ‘b)’. Our system is liquid, so we can make any shape.

First, we’re making thin and sleek armbands.

The research for the inflation system was conducted at the ANU (Canberra) under the Connal Group. IP is fully within the company.
